experts on the streets
Thursday, November 26, 2009 (8:24 AM)
i find it interesting a tendency for football fans to discuss the scene like they are the oracle. they know which club should hire which manager, which players the managers should line up for which game, and yes, they basically know everything that is required for the clubs to win matches.
i don't understand.
how can these people talk so brazenly, assume they know who made the right move and who didn't or which purchase is best for which club and not blush. it is thoroughly embarassing.
i am happy today because...

i asked a number of people to complete the above sentence based on their snap response because i think we tend to not see things we can be happy about and keep focusing on things that make us unhappy but the fact is, there are a lot of things we can be happy about everyday.
below are the responses i received...

2 people said they weren't happy and 1 thanked me for asking that question 'cause "[she] needed that".
well, for me, i am happy today because i am alive and healthy. i am thankful that i am alive and do not require a machine to help me breathe or keep my heart beating. i do not need medications to keep me sane or needles in my body to clean my bloodstream. i do not need crutches to help me walk or prosthetic limbs to help me hold my cup. i do not need a walking stick or a hearing aid. i have many more things to be happy about... and that is why i will be happy everyday.
the end of seafood
Friday, November 20, 2009 (9:30 AM)
on a suspected case of food poisoning, i threw up 2-3 times, had multiple diarrheas, fever, cold shivers, giddiness, headache and what shit have you.
no more seafood for me.
the thought of it just makes me feel like throwing up.
of user-friendliness and road rage
Monday, November 16, 2009 (8:49 PM)
the first is a no-brainer. if you gotta get used to something, then it is not user-friendly. yes, those who say the mac is "user-friendly once you get used to it" is not thinking right. user-friendliness refers to something that can be used with ease at first try. so if you're finding ways to justify your love of the mac, refusing to acknowledge that you're just trying to be different by being the same as everyone else trying to be different, sorry, it's not working right.
as for road rage, i don't understand why it happens. i don't at all. what kind of gratification can one get out of quarreling with someone whether this other driver cut into your lane, snatched your parking lot or whatever. i simply don't see it. i think it is plain immature of people who feel the need or the urge to get out of their vehicles to quarrel or show the middle finger to other drivers. sure, you can get pissed but just move on and go find some other lot! it's no fucking big deal.
