    live earth
    Monday, July 09, 2007 (9:40 PM)

as the 24-hour live earth concert comes to an end, some of us may be cynical and think that the amount of electricity used and the carbon emitted from the flights people take to catch the show live could possibly cause more harm. but there is something we cannot deny, which is that the message could've caused an impact in people's lives. people are more aware of what little changes they can do to create a huge difference.

however, the sad news is that the concert in england didn't end off so well. the floor was littered all over with a significant amount of unrecyclable items. apparently, the english wasn't paying enough attention to the messages or the purposes behind this concert.

the good news is that many japanese stayed back to clear and sort out the litter. then again, this has all along been the practice of the japanese. even in macdonalds' they separate the paper cups from the burger wrappers; the ice from the cup. so did this concert change anyone? that, we don't have to be too bothered. more importantly, did it change you?
