tell the truth or be integrative

i just read the digital life section in today's issue of the straits' times and one article focused on the 'dawn yeo plastic surgery - did she or didn't she' thing. it's not really an article, it took excerpts from a couple of blogs and from what i read in the papers as well as what has been going on over the past weeks, it seems that people keep telling her to 'tell the truth'. just to be clear, i'm not a fan of hers nor am i against her. to be honest, i didn't even know about this issue till my sis told me about it, and subsequently the relentless coverage by the media.
but what are these people really looking for? the truth or do they just want her to play a representative party role - to follow public opinion? of course, i don't know her that well to decide 'yes she did plastic surgery' or 'no she didn't do it' but people keep telling her to 'tell the truth'. i seriously doubt they are looking for 'the truth'. they just want her to say 'yes'. when she refused to admit she underwent surgery, they just keep chanting 'tell the truth, tell the truth' like an attempt to hypnotize all of us. if in your mind, you already decided that she did undergo surgery, then there's really no point whether she admits it or not. and for people who claim that they 'know' she 'confirm' go plastic surgery. then you don't really need her to admit since you already got the 'confirm' answer. demanding an answer simply shows that your 'confirm' answer isn't really 'confirmed'.
what i'm trying to get at here is, does it really affect your lives that much? so what happens if she admits? will you be immune to bird flu? or will you win the nobel prize for a 'discovery'? well, if you do get the nobel prize, how about sharing half that million with me? i'll pay for your bird flu immunity jab.
