drained out of my life
Monday, November 21, 2005 (1:20 PM)
i'm not a habitual late sleeper. not until poly. then bmt re-adjusted my biological clock and 41sar messed it up again. for some reasons, i have been taking late nights recently and incredibly, i managed to wake up at 7 yesterday morning without the slightest hint of weariness. went for breakfast and subsequently, ecp to blade. it was damn tiring. we went from one end to the other and back then headed towards the main road at marine parade to catch a bus down town for a shower before catching asianbeat finals. plus i missed lunch! it's not like i'm on a diet or what. more meal-skipping and i'll be reduced to a skeletal frame. by the time we're on the way home, i was drained. but it was nice to see yanni, lishi and robin after such a long time. but it wasn't nice when my wheels 'rotted' away and the straps gave way one by one until i needed bag straps to tie round the blades. paid $16 for a set of new wheels and after yesterday, they don't look new anymore. that could be why it's so cheap.
somewhere near the middle of the park, we saw this girl who was standing stationary in front of a hump staring blank. we were thinking if she's trying to overcome her fear and after some 'discussion', yanni decided she was trying to get over the hump and asked us to go help her. no one moved and everyone turned at me asking me to go since i was the one who supposedly noticed her first. i approached her and asked, 'do you need help to get over?' and she replied, 'it's ok, i want to try myself'. good spirit! so i left but benny was like 'you should've insisted'... -_-"
asianbeat wasn't bad but i'm not really appreciative of the black metal stuff some of the bands played. fortissimo had a great vocalist who subsequently won the best vocalist award. she had great vocal control and well done harmonics but i think she needs to calm down a bit. i think she moved way too much - 'move' is an understatement - someone needs to give her a tranquilizer jab or something. headline had an amazing keyboardist who doubles as audio breakout's bassist it seems and deservedly took the best keyboardist award. many bands were messed up by the sound balancing crew who seem to be students of sae (school of audio engineering). they really should use some professionals for such competitions.
reached home, had another shower and k.o. till 11 this morning. and i'm spending my study week like vacations. if this continues, i'll ord before i know it.
